We were busy earlier this year getting Aquila Heights ready for the new season. We’ve redecorated and refurbished three of the bedrooms and the breakfast room. We’ve now upgraded all of the bedrooms since we acquired the business in April 2016.
We’ve enhanced the nautical theme in room 2 by adding a maritime wallpaper behind the beds, and we’ve completely redecorated the rest of the room and bathroom. We’ve also re-organised the room’s furniture to make space for a comfortable chair, which a few guests have asked for. We’ve also installed a new, larger TV.
Room 6 has been re-decorated to match the duck egg blue theme of the room. We’ve re-arranged the furniture in this room too, so that this can also have a comfortable chair. The TV in this room should be upgraded over the next few weeks.
Room 7 has a completely new feel. It’s been given a colour change, and is now a co-ordination of red and grey, and we particularly like the new curtains. We’ve also added a dressing table to make the room easier to use.
The breakfast room has new wallpaper and curtains, and we’ve repainted the dresser. We’ve been slowly upgrading this room the whole time we’ve been here, and it’s lovely to see our plan coming towards completion – now just the new carpet to be laid next week.
To complete our offseason’s work we’ve given the reception hall a quick makeover, and the new grey theme gives an elegant welcome to our guests.
After we’ve welcomed all our guests this summer, we’ll be turning our attention to the remaining bathrooms in the autumn, to bring them all up to the level of room 3. We have the funds put aside for new sanitaryware, showers and floors throughout.
We look forward to welcoming you to the new-look Aquila Heights soon! Our online booking page is here.
