We are open for business from 4th July, but we've obviously had to make a few changes to make sure that we keep our guests and ourselves safe. Our aim is to still provide the friendly, personalised service that our guests have come to expect, but to do it in a safe a manner as possible.
We've provided hand sanitiser at our front entrance. We'll welcome you in our reception hall as usual, keeping to social distance. We are not currently showing guests to their room, but we will help with luggage if you need help (sanitising our hands before we touch your bags).
We are keeping the dining room door open during breakfast so that no-one has to touch it. We're keeping some tables unoccupied so that we can keep everyone safely apart - on busy days, we may have to have two breakfast sittings to do this. We'll also deliver breakfast to your bedroom door if you are unsure of visiting the dining room. We are wearing face visors, so that we can keep everyone safe, but in a friendlier way than wearing masks, and we'll only lay the table when you arrive. There is no self-service of fruit and cereals, but we'll take your order and bring everything to your table. Our full menu is still available. There are individual sachets of condiments rather than shared bottles, and individual jam portions. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to serve some of our local Dorset jams and marmalades for the time being.
Before your stay, we will have cleaned your room to our usual standards, and additionally sanitised all door and window handles, electric switches, the TV remote control and all of the hospitality tray including kettle handle and switch. During your stay, we'll only enter your room to empty bins and replenish your hospitality supplies. For longer stays, we'll also change your bed linen every third day, but we'll wear visors and gloves to do this.
We are asking guests to only touch the local information leaflets that they want, and have provided a place for used leaflets so that we can quarantine them before putting them back on display.
If you need help or information during your stay, of course we are available as always. We'll just keep to social distancing whilst we help. We are still definitely happy to chat, as usual, but we'll just do it a little bit further apart.
If you'd like any more information about anything, please call us on 01305-267145 before you book. We look forward to welcoming you to Aquila Heights.
