New Bathroom for Room 3

We have commenced our first winter's improvements by installing a completely new bathroom in Room 3. This is one of our premier rooms, with lovely panoramic views of Maiden Castle and towards Hardy's Monument.

We have installed modern facilities and designs, but also tried to retain and enhance the Edwardian character of the house. There is a new period-design washbasin and toilet, and a new modern shower with mains-pressure water, all finished with a wood-effect floor and modern grey paintwork. We have also provided brand new Egyptian cotton towels. Many thanks to Peverell Bathrooms of Poundbury for great service and an excellent finish. 

Our next task is to refurbish the room itself, which will be keeping us busy during our winter break in January. We also plan to re-decorate the other premier room, No 5, and many other smaller decorating tasks around the house. Later on, around springtime, we will turn our attention to the breakfast room.
